Hackett is a city in Sebastian County, Arkansas, United States. It is part of the Fort Smith, Arkansas-Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 812 at the 2010 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.1 km2), all of it land.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 694 people, 277 households, and 193 families residing in the city. The population density was 424.8 people per square mile (164.4/km²). There were 294 housing units at an average density of 179.9/sq mi (69.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 95.10% White, 0.43% Black or African American, 2.16% Native American, 1.15% Asian, 0.14% from other races, and 1.01% from two or more races. 0.72% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 277 households out of which 33.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.1% were married couples living together, 14.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.0% were non-families. 27.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 3.00.
In the city the population was spread out with 27.5% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 29.8% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 89.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.5 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $30,809, and the median income for a family was $35,909. Males had a median income of $27,500 versus $20,446 for females.
